The goal with the Jensen is to make a car that just ‘works’ so with that brief in mind I’m keen to see if I can reuse as much of the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) system from the 300c as possible. This will mean that there is climate control and all the other things we just take for granted in cars these days.
To do this means that I’m removing the original systems from the Jensen and customising what I have from the Chrysler to work. I’m also undoing years worth of ‘fixes’ from other people which is typical on a car that first saw the road over 40 years ago (I mean , I’ve needed some mending over the years myself, who hasn’t!). It’s time-consuming work for sure, but will be worth it in the end. For now, it’s a mess and getting messier, but I love puzzles so it’s all good!
